ComTec Solutions Announces Two Technology Scholarships in Partnership with SUNY Brockport

Reiterating ComTec Solutions’ steadfast commitment to its employees and unwavering dedication to doing the right thing, these scholarships aim to empower emerging leaders to thrive and make meaningful contributions to the technology sector.

ROCHESTER, NY—October 31, 2023—ComTec Solutions, a leading manufacturing technology provider in modernizing operations, is pleased to announce it has partnered with local college SUNY Brockport to offer two student scholarships that will help support the growth of technology and local careers in the New York area.

“I am extremely happy to announce the establishment of a second scholarship funded by ComTec Solutions: The ComTec Solutions Cybersecurity Scholarship,” said Mehruz Kamal, Ph.D., chair at SUNY Brockport. “Thank you once again, Rob Moyer, for your generous support and your belief in the talent that will come out of our new cybersecurity program at SUNY Brockport. We are excited to make the inaugural awarding of this new scholarship in Spring ’24.” 

Recognizing the importance of supporting local technology talent, ComTec is offering two academic scholarships, which will benefit students in different fields:

• ComTec Solutions Scholarship In Computing Sciences.
• ComTec Solutions Cybersecurity Scholarship.

As part of its partnership with SUNY Brockport, ComTec is also sponsoring a branded student lounge in the Department of Computing Sciences college, which will open in early 2024. This lounge will be available to students and will serve as a place for students to study and relax. 

ComTec also regularly attends the Brockport job fair, offers internships and helps students prepare for long-term careers in the technology industry. 

“Offering these scholarships and internship opportunities is our way of connecting with the community, giving back and supporting the growth of the technology industry and future leaders,” said Rob Moyer, ComTec Solutions founder and president. “We hope these scholarships will provide additional opportunities to future leaders in cybersecurity and information technology to become successful and achieve their career goals.”
